Nobody sits you down and explains golf. You show up one day on the tee, you hook the ball sideways into a parking lot, and the next thing you know, you're hooked. But there's no welcome package. There's no orientation. Just a lot to learn and not a lot of patience to learn it. Rake the bunker, fix your mark, stand still when people are putting. All these unwritten rules are there to make sure that everybody has the best chance at a great day. But somewhere along the line, people started using these rules to keep people out rather than welcoming them in, which got us thinking. Maybe we should rewrite these unwritten rules. So we did. This is a guide for golfers who want to dress well because they want to, not because they have to. It's for everyone who wants to buy the winner a drink because it's the right thing to do. Because every round deserves a smooth finish.
