Get out of London, Fast.

If you are in London right now, and you’re sweating over whether to buy a fan for 3 weeks a year... stop. You can be in one of these seaside golf destinations faster than you can say “Dyson”. Here are the best beach and golf trips from London.

Kent

It’s hard to look past Kent as the best golf and beach staycation in the UK. Wander along the White Cliffs of Dover, walk in the footsteps of Canterbury's medieval pilgrims, relax on Botany or Joss Bay and let a cool tabasco lathered oyster slip down your gullet. Then get an early night. In the morning you’re playing Royal St George’s, Princes or Royal Cinque Ports.

Cornwall

Ok, this one’s not that close, but St Enedoc’s Church Course in Cornwall is worth a little extra driving. Home to the largest bunker in Europe (or so they claim), St Enedoc serves generous helpings of blind shots, steep walks and spectacular views along the Cornish coast. Falmouth and Rock are the places to stay and Trevose is a helluva back up 18.

South Wales

If you want something a little off the beaten track, head to South Wales and the Gower Peninsula. Royal Porthcawl is a true championship links and well worth visiting, but it is Pennard, “the links in the sky”, that holds a special place in so many hearts. Rhossili Bay, on the West edge of the peninsula is one of the most beautiful spots in the whole of the UK.
